“Unfortunately we live in a world where dumpster diving and other criminal activities put people at risk of having their identity stolen,” said Aaron Bastian, president and CEO of Fidelity Bank. “We want to do our part to keep our neighbors safe.”

Convenient drive-thru service

The shred event will offer drive-thru service with Fidelity Bank volunteers collecting materials and depositing them into shredding trucks for immediate destruction, all in full view. Community members should enter through the entrance on Market Street.

Items to shred

To protect themselves, individuals should consider destroying all documents that contain sensitive personal or financial information, including:

  • Bank statements
  • Bills
  • Pay stubs
  • Expired credit and identification cards
  • Legal documents
  • Medical records
  • Junk mail
  • Tax forms
  • Receipts
  • Insurance documents

This free event is organized by Fidelity Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility team and is open to all community members.
