Fidelity Bank & Foundation Donate $27,500 for Youth Mentorship Program

10/7/2020

Fidelity Bank and the Fidelity Bank Foundation made a combined $27,500 donation to Wichita’s Real Men Real Heroes (RMRH) in support of the organization’s mission to provide male role models to empower youths and build strong communities. These funds will go to meet the needs of the underserved whose situations have been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Real Men Real Heroes programming is designed for school age boys in grades three through12. Due to the current health crisis, activities have been adapted to meet social distancing guidelines and the development of a mobile app is underway to help program participants maintain virtual connections with their mentors. The organization has created a television show called Teen Hero Summit, featuring high school seniors leading roundtable discussions with special guests on important topics from a teen perspective. Other programs include peer-to-peer and adult-to-peer mentoring, literacy, community engagement, environmental education and health information.
