Fidelity Bank has announced the hiring of LaShonda Garnes, MPA, PMP as the director of inclusion, equity and diversity, a new role that will lead the long-term planning and execution of an enterprise-wide push toward fostering a culture of inclusion. The position falls under the oversight of The Office of Culture and Talent, a multi-faceted division that seeks to align departments that play a key role in shaping the internal work environment in line with the mission, vision and values of the Bank.

Access to quality education is critical to empowering the next generation of leaders to reach their great potential and, in turn, strengthen our community. Unfortunately, some young people face barriers to learning which are being exacerbated by the health pandemic. Fidelity Bank is partnering with the Wichita Wind Surge on the Home Runs for Charity program which will run throughout the teams inaugural season. As part of the program Fidelity Bank will donate $50 for every home run hit by a Wind Surge player during home games at Riverfront Stadium, and the Wind Surge will be matching those funds dollar-for-dollar. The benefitting organization is League 42, which makes youth baseball accessible to urban children in the community, opening them up to the many benefits of participating in this team sport.

  On Tuesday, September 13, local officials joined members of the Fidelity Bank and Conco Construction teams at the site of our future South Seneca branch for a groundbreaking celebration. Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell, Wichita District IV Councilman Jeff Blubaugh and Sedgwick County Second District Commissioner Tim Norton were on hand to help commemorate the occasion.
