Wichita Festivals, Inc., and its long-time supporter, Fidelity Bank, today announced that the fourth generation, family-owned financial institution will sponsor Riverfest 2019’s Fidelity Bank River Run.

Wichita banker and Project Wichita co-chairman Aaron Bastian has another hat to wear. Bastian, president of Fidelity Bank, was recently appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Fed's Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

Phylicia Thompson is taking her mobile 2 Beatz Boutique into its first storefront at Fidelity Bank’s Rise Car Park on Market between Waterman and English. That’s the bank’s parking garage for employees, and it has 17,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor, 8,000 square feet of which is still available for lease.

The ground level of Fidelity Bank’s new five-story “car park” on Market between Waterman and English will soon have a new 4,000-square-foot restaurant on its main level. And that’s not even the biggest news to come out of the project this week.

The Fidelity Bank Foundation has awarded a $250,000 grant to the Sedgwick County Zoo in support of the park’s 25-year master plan. The grant will provide the Zoo with an annual $50,000 disbursement for five years, with the funds earmarked for the construction of a new entry complex to honor the organization’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2021.

Fidelity Bank is partnering with the Wichita Wind Surge on the Home Runs for Charity program which will run throughout the teams inaugural season. As part of the program Fidelity Bank will donate $50 for every home run hit by a Wind Surge player during home games at Riverfront Stadium, and the Wind Surge will be matching those funds dollar-for-dollar. The benefitting organization is League 42, which makes youth baseball accessible to urban children in the community, opening them up to the many benefits of participating in this team sport.
